July 4th

Where better to spend the 4th of July than on the grass at the BHEC? Independence Day is a time for fun and celebration with friends, and often a colorful fireworks display. The best place to celebrate the 4th of July is at the Big Horn Equestrian Center. The annual fireworks show at the Events Center always draws a large gathering of spectators from across the county. The fireworks show at the BHEC is different than most in the state in that the fireworks are choreographed to music that can be listened to on the radio. Sheridan Media makes this possible each and every year.

The 2010 Fireworks Extravaganza, sponsored as always by Bruce Burns, is slated to get underway about 10:00 pm, and is free to the public. The Big Horn Lion's Club will be at the gate, accepting donations, suggested amount $5.00 or more, for the Big Horn Scholarship Fund.

In years past, the Pickin' Chicks, the Teka Brock Band, and Jalan Crossland have provided live music preceding the fireworks. Come early to enjoy live music, watch the sunset from the porch, enjoy an adult beverage available at the BHEC bar, or dance on the patio.

Bring your own picnic, or take advantage of the concessions available on the grounds. Come with your friends and family so you can park together, or meet on the clubhouse lawn! Bring your frisbees, bocce balls, hackey-sacks, whatever you like best...gates open at 5:00 pm for the best 4th of July party in Sheridan County, followed at 10:00 pm by the largest fireworks display in Northern Wyoming.
